Section D-5. Appointed and public-defense counsel

The State Public Defender, an assistant public defender, or appointed counsel is not technically exempt unless the authenticated account also holds an exempt role. A fee actually paid for authorized representation is reimbursable only as statute provides and remains subject to any compensation cap. The Court may waive prepayment under Rule 32(d).
