Rule 17. Decorum, official identity, and use of court platforms
Official identity
A participant must use the account and identity recognized by the Court. The Court may require confirmation of an immutable Roblox user identifier, bar status, government office, or authority to represent an entity. Impersonation, undisclosed use of another person’s account, or evasion through an alternate account is prohibited.
Account and role changes
A username change, display-name change, office turnover, account restriction, group departure, or team change does not alter party status. The affected person must notify the Clerk under Rule 20.
Judicial attire
During an in-game proceeding, a Justice or judge must wear the authorized robe when reasonably available and maintain a professional avatar appearance. Outside a proceeding while acting in an official judicial capacity, the officer must preserve the appearance of impartiality and professionalism. Inability to obtain a platform asset is not misconduct if promptly disclosed.
Participant decorum
Participants and observers must:
obey the presiding Justice’s speaking and access directions;
avoid harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse, spam, disruptive audio, and unauthorized screen sharing;
identify demonstratives before displaying them;
avoid publishing protected material; and
preserve messages or media that form part of the official proceeding.
Informal channels
A direct message, staff conversation, voice-channel statement, reaction, or edited chat entry is not a filing or order unless these Rules authorize it and the Clerk preserves it on the docket.
Immediate control
The presiding Justice or Marshal may mute, remove, restrict, or relocate a disruptive participant as an immediate platform-control measure. That measure is not a contempt judgment or merits sanction and must be followed by the process required by Rule 79 if further punishment is sought.
