APPENDIX A — MASTER DEADLINE TABLE
Section A-2. Time computation
Unless governing law or an order expressly provides otherwise:
UTC controls.
For a period in days, exclude the triggering calendar date, count every later calendar date, and end at 23:59:59 UTC on the last date.
For a period in hours, count consecutive hours from the recorded triggering time.
Weekends, holidays, court recesses, and the absence of a live session do not move a deadline.
Time from entry begins when the judgment or order is entered on the docket.
Time from ordinary electronic service begins when service is completed under Rule 30(b).
When a Rule requires concurrent service upon filing, the expressly identified Rule 31 service event controls.
Time from filing begins at the complete-receipt timestamp under Rule 27(c).
A courtesy notice does not restart time.
