Section A-1. Status and use

This Appendix collects numeric periods stated in the Rules. It does not create a period omitted from the numbered Rules, change a trigger, or make an otherwise extendible period nonextendible. If this table and a numbered Rule differ, the numbered Rule controls. Fixed means the Rules do not permit extension. A period fixed by the Constitution or statute remains nonextendible even if this table uses another label. Rule 5 means an extension is available only under Rule 5 and governing law. By order means the Court may alter the period as the cited Rule provides.
