IN THE SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF RIDGEWAY
ADAM STRATTON,
Plaintiff,
v.
LargeTitanic2,
Defendant.
Case No. RSC-CV-4876
PLAINTIFF’S MOTION FOR
VOLUNTARY DISMISSAL
WITHOUT PREJUDICE
The Plaintiff, Adam Stratton, moves the Court to dismiss this action without prejudice. In
support, he states:
1. The Plaintiff began this action on September 16, 2026, by an Emergency Petition and
Motion for Stay of Contempt Order challenging an order holding him in contempt of the
Senate.
2. The Court has ruled that the request for an injunction against enforcement of the contempt
order is moot in light of the Senate’s passage of R12-20. The Plaintiff was released from
custody on September 16, 2026, after the Court found no probable cause for his arrest in
No. DCE-2026-0101.
3. Paragraph 9 of the original petition stated that the Defendant declared the contempt alone
and that no vote of the Senate was taken. That was incorrect. A motion to hold the Plaintiff
in contempt was put to the Senate, and the Senate’s published record shows two ayes and
three abstentions; a motion to reconsider failed, two to three. The Plaintiff withdraws
paragraph 9 and every statement in the petition that rested on it.
4. In light of these developments, the Plaintiff no longer wishes to pursue this action at this
time. He asks that it be dismissed in its entirety, including the original petition and any
amended pleading, and that any request for the issuance or service of a summons be treated
as withdrawn.
5. Dismissal without prejudice injures no one. The Defendant gives up no defense, and the
Plaintiff seeks no costs.
WHEREFORE, the Plaintiff respectfully requests that the Court dismiss this action in its
entirety, without prejudice, with each party to bear its own costs, and grant such further relief as the
Court deems just and proper. A proposed order is submitted with this motion.
Respectfully submitted this 16th day of September, 2026.
