MOTION
PLAINTIFF’S MOTION TO EXTEND THE DISCOVERY DEADLINE AS TO
DEPOSITIONS
COMES NOW the Plaintiff, Halo4asin, pro se, and respectfully moves the Court to extend the
discovery deadline as to depositions only, pursuant to the Court’s inherent authority to manage
its docket and to Rid. R. Civ. P. 6(b), which permits enlargement of time for cause shown. In
support, Plaintiff states:
1. By order of July 26, 2026, the Court granted Plaintiff leave to depose the persons
identified in discovery, and directed the Defendants to produce a list of the names of the
persons involved so that depositions could proceed. The Court reiterated that direction on
August 2, 2026, stating that the Defendants were to produce the “factors used to evaluate
plaintiffs account and a list of names involved so depositions can happen.”
2. The discovery deadline was set for August 9, 2026.
3. As of the date of this motion, Plaintiff has not received the list of names. Plaintiff raised
the omission on the record on August 8, 2026.
4. Depositions cannot be noticed to persons whose identities have not been disclosed, and
does not seek to delay these proceedings. Plaintiff has served interrogatories and has
prepared his deposition questions, which are ready for service upon disclosure of the
names.

5. Plaintiff does not seek to extend the deadline as to any other category of discovery, and
does not seek to delay these proceedings. Plaintiff has served interrogatories and has
prepared his deposition questions, which are ready for service upon disclosure of the
names.
WHEREFORE, Plaintiff respectfully requests that the discovery deadline be extended as to
depositions only, to run from the date on which the Defendants produce the list of names directed
by the Court, or on such schedule as the Court deems appropriate.
