knowing that false statements on this form are punishable by law, state that the facts contained herein
are true. Your affiant has probable cause to believe that on 07/29/2026, in Palmer, Ridgeway County,
State of Ridgeway, defendant ssemzzx committed one or more criminal offense(s):

S.C.C § 3.09a - Aggravated Assault Class II
Whoever commits assault against a public official, police officer, emergency worker,
witness, or informant, and uses or exhibits a deadly weapon in the commission of that
offense.

S.C.C § 3.02 - Murder in the Second Degree
Whoever intentionally or knowingly causes the death of an individual; or intentionally
causes serious bodily injury and commits an act clearly dangerous to human life which
causes the death of an individual; or while committing or attempting to commit a
felony, other than manslaughter, and in the course of and in furtherance of the
commission or attempt, or in immediate flight from the commission or attempt,
commits or attempts to commit an act clearly dangerous to human life.

Your affiant, being duly sworn, depose and state that the facts supporting this belief are as follows:
1. Your affiant is employed as a Senior Patrol Officer for the Palmer Police Department (PPD), and is
currently assigned to the Training Division. Your affiant has been employed with the Palmer Police
Department since May 4th, 2026, and has completed all LETC and department-mandated
classroom and field training requirements. As a law enforcement officer, your affiant is empowered
to conduct criminal investigations.
2. This statement is made in support of a criminal complaint against ssemzzx for violations of the
aforementioned statute(s).
3. On July 29th, 2026, at approximately 21:11 hours CDT, your affiant was on-duty and attending the
Duty Court session being hosted at the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters Building in Palmer, Ridgeway
(SOHQ).

4. Your affiant overheard a “swiping” noise, known by your affiant to be consistent with the swinging
on an axe, bat, knife, or punches with boxing gloves. Your affiant stood up from his seat in court to
investigate and observed an individual, later identified as nahimdiff, wearing boxing gloves and
attempting to punch law enforcement officers.
5. Your affiant observed nahimdiff being apprehended, however also observed a second individual
standing by the trunk of a nearby blue Actilla. That individual, later identified as ssemzzx, then
entered the building, equipped boxing gloves, and began throwing punches at law enforcement
officers within the building.
6. Your affiant successfully deployed a taser and took ssemzzx into custody. Your affiant captured a
Medal.tv video clip of the incident to assess whether any damage was inflicted by ssemzzx’s
punches; your affiant did not initially observe any damage inflicted to any person within the
building as a result of ssemzzx’s punches.
7. The subject, ssemzzx, was booked for Aggravated Assault Class II, and your affiant submitted an
affidavit to the duty court via the RWcourts.org website, and was assigned DCE-2026-0026 as a
duty court submission number.
8. Upon further review of the video clip evidence, your affiant clearly observed a resident at the duty
court session, PatrickStarCheeks1, get severely injured as a result of nahimdiff’s punches, and
killed as a result of ssemzzx’s punches.
9. Due to a preliminary hearing taking place simultaneously and duty court subsequently ending
following the hearing’s conclusion, your affiant respectfully submits this affidavit in support of
criminal information.
