FINDINGS OF FACT
(TO BE COMPLETED BY THE IMPANELED OFFICERS)
1) On February 4th, 2025, the Military Police Investigations Platoon (“MPI”) received a
tipline submission from Second Lieutenant Zoned_JJ. In the tip, Zoned_JJ explained that
the guardsman (“respondent”) had left all Ridgeway-related Discord servers and deserted
the Guard without notifying anyone.
2) The MPI conducted a thorough investigation into the matter and concluded that the
respondent had left the National Guard Roblox group and Discord server without proper
authorization.
3) The respondent was found in violation of OPREG 3002 (q) “Desertion” because they left
the National Guard Roblox group and Discord server without proper authorization to do
so.
4) The National Guard Code of Conduct defines “Desertion” as a Type I offense, resulting in
a dishonorable discharge.
5) This violation is supported by the evidence and testimony gathered during the
investigation conducted by the MPI. A complete and finalized case report is attached in
the appendix.
FINDINGS OF LAW AND POLICY
(TO BE COMPLETED BY THE ADMINISTRATIVE COURT JUDGE)
1) Within the State of Ridgeway, military staff (infantry soldiers) are hired in a manner
similar to other civilian departments.
2) Military staff are deemed to be aware of their “OPREGS” or operational regulations.
These dictate what is expected of a soldier within the National Guard.
3) One of these OPREGs is section 3000, hereafter referred to as the Guard Code of
Conduct (or “GCOC”).
4) Desertion is classified as a Type I offense, warranting criminal prosecution and/or
dishonorable discharge.
5) The respondent stated that he “likely forgot” to take the appropriate actions before being
able to officially discharge.
6) Respondent signed multiple agreements at the start of his career in the Guard. This
signature means that respondent was or at least should have been aware of the
consequences of his actions.
7) All facts considered, the Ridgeway National Guard is authorised to dishonorably
discharge the employee. Under 2 R. Stat. § 3110, such a discharge shall serve as a bar of
employment from the issuing agency for at most 4 months.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1) The impaneled officers recommend that the respondent, SEBUBBY, be dishonorably
discharged from the Ridgeway National Guard and issued a four-month blacklist from
employment per 2 R. Stat. § 3110.
