GRAND JURY INDICTMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE STATE OF RIDGEWAY:
The GRAND JURY, for the County of Ridgeway, State of Ridgeway, duly selected, empanelled, sworn, charged,
and organized as such at the AUGUST Term, AD, 2024, of the Ridgeway Superior Court, upon their oaths present
in and to said Court at said term that POLICEOFFICERHANZZ, hereinafter styled Defendant, be hereby
charged as follows.
COUNT 1
SECOND-DEGREE MURDER
R.C.C. § 3.10 / FELONY
On June 21st, 2024, the victim, Yaahz, traveled from the east intersection of the National Guard’s
Demilitarized Zone in Alder to a residence located at 1550 Belgrade Road in Oakland. Upon
arrival, the complainant made his way to the entrance of the residence, unarmed and posing no
threat, where he was intentionally shot dead by the Defendant, who was on scene at the home in
his official capacity as a Sheriff’s Deputy.
COUNT 2
OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT
R.C.C. § 6.06 / FELONY
On or about the 21st of June, 2024, the Defendant, without lawful authority, overstepped his
authority as a Sheriff’s Deputy and intentionally, through his official capacity and the duties
therein, shot and killed the victim, Yaahz, who was unarmed and posing no threat to the
Defendant.
AGAINST THE PEACE AND DIGNITY OF THE STATE.
