AFFIDAVIT IN OPPOSITION TO DEFAULT JUDGMENT
The State respectfully submits the below affidavit in opposition to an entry of default judgment.
I, Deputy Solicitor General totoro987123, swear under the pains and penalties of perjury that the
statement and additional information provided in this affidavit is true.
Over the last week, the defense and State were unable to submit a response to the complaint due to
unavoidable conflicts and regrettable miscommunications. I, on behalf of the defense, sincerely
apologize for these delays and implore the court to accept our response to the complaint.
Personally, last week was my university midterms week, during which time I was not active on
discord nor working on my cases. My focus was solely on my exams and the mountain of work I
needed to address. I had assumed falsely that my co-counsel would handle the case. Attorney
DorkJacob, however, provided no assistance and then withdrew as counsel on March 8th. Given his
recent appointment as the Chief Public Defender, he was understandably incredibly busy. My other
co-counsel bommes had believed that after the State intervened, that they would handle the response.
Given I was busy with midterms, we did not communicate about who would do the response until the
deadline had already passed.
I apologize to the court for our miscommunications. Although real-world commitments do emerge
from time-to-time, I will ensure that we properly communicate about them in advance so that all court
deadlines are met. We request, for the sake of our clients and in the interest of justice, that the court
accept our response.
