Motion for Summary Judgement
A motion for summary judgment is historically granted when a case’s defense has no grounds.
On February 9th, 2024, the Plaintiff was accused for deviating from his outlined jurisdiction. The Palmer
Police Standard Operating Procedure states, “employees...acting in their official capacity can only deviate from
the jurisdiction in circumstances outlined…" Palmer Police Department training guide contradicts and says,
“Upon arriving, wait in the PPD lobby. If [(a recruit)] spawn[s] away from the station [they] may DM any PPD
in game to pick you [them] from where [they] spawn. …“1 Palmer Police Department Standard Operating
Procedure additionally states, “Divisions and Units within the Palmer Police Department may have specialized
handbooks which contain specific information such as policies, regulations, and other information pertaining to
the division. These specific policies are binding to members in those divisions only."
As stated in the Palmer Police Department Standard Operating Procedure, the PPD Training Unit’s guide
is considered BINDING to department policy. As such, the plaintiff was acting within policy by attempting to
pick up a recruit to bring back to station (as noted in 1 and exhibits within exhibit 2).
The courts have no reason for a further trial to talk about police conduct in-game or to interview
witnesses—it’s a mere waste of time. The facts are laid in front of us and facts supercede opinions. The
opinions of an attorney within the DOJ, who is clearly not well-versed in PPD Standard Operating Policy like I
am, is not of importance and should be regarded as an attempt of injustice. Their argument is false in nature.
