8. Denied. While the defense admits the fact the killing happened, the defense refutes the fact that
the killing happened for no justifiable purpose, as the defendant was acting in self-defense. The defense
raises the affirmative defense of self-defense.
PRAYER FOR RELIEF
9. Defense contends that relief is improper because Count 1 is legally insufficient. The defense
therefore implores the court to reject the requested relief.
