Aggravated Extortion fits as a charge for the defendant because as seen in Exhibit A, the defendant,
exhibiting a deadly weapon used to threaten and frighten the victim, as the defendant demands money.
COUNT TWO - 5 R.S.C. 4 BRANDISHING
OFFENSE TYPE - MISDEMEANOR
MAX SENTENCE - 15 MINUTES
Brandishing fits as a charge for the defendant because as seen in Exhibit A, the defendant brandishes a
Salvo within city limits, without legal means to do so.
STATEMENT OF PROBABLE CAUSE
I've been with the Ridgeway State Police since October 2nd, 2021. Prior to joining the Ridgeway State
Police, I worked as a Corporal for the Ridgeway County Sheriff's Office's Special Response Team for
3-4 months. Before joining the Sheriff's Office, I worked as a regular Patrol Officer for the Palmer
Police Department. I was the Lieutenant of Field Operations, Area Commander of Ridgeway Troops A,
B, and the Traffic Enforcement Division before joining the State Bureau of Investigations. I've been with
the State Bureau of Investigations for over two months now, and I've helped close a few major cases,
including one involving a dealer and another involving a department command member. I’ve also been
called in as an expert witness on many occasions in court cases.
This statement is made in support of a criminal complaint against KaiGiven for violations of the
aforementioned statutes.
On July 24th, the Ridgeway State Police was notified that defendant KaiGiven had brandished their
weapon towards a Ridgeway citizen, in a threatening manner, and commanded them to give money. After
a thorough investigation into this case, the State Bureau of Investigations can hereby corroborate the
following statements.
Initially, the complainant submitted a Department of Justice report and provided us with Exhibit A, a
video of the incident, which occurred on or around July 12th outside the Palmer Police Department
headquarters in Palmer. Exhibit A shows the defendant, KaiGiven, driving up to the complainant in a
Blue Actilla, then jumping out and pulling out their Salvo. In reaction to the defendant's activities, the
complainant says a question mark in the ROBLOX chat, and the defendant orders the complainant to
give money. The complainant then answers no, and the defendant continues to demand money. The
defendant then reloads, and the video comes to an end. The complainant was contacted, however they
did not respond in a timely manner. We attempted to contact the defendant, however we were unable to
track their Discord account.
