RIDGEWAY SUPERIOR COURT REMOVELUNGS, Petitioner, v. ETHHAQN, Respondent. Case No. RSC-CV-494 AFFIDAVIT OF ARRESTING OFFICER AND CERTIFIED COPY OF THE RECORD I, ethhaqn, do solemnly swear and affirm the following as true to the best of my knowledge: My current rank within the Palmer Police Department is Patrol Officer within the Traffic Unit. I have been employed in this department for a total of 52 days. I graduated from Class 9 of the Law Enforcement Training Center. On June 24th, 2022, I was inside PPD when I heard shots coming from around the building. I knew that removelungs was the only person behind PPD at the time, because I had seen him outside previously. Additionally, he was the only one who had a firearm (a Salvo to be exact- which is what the shots sounded like). I hadn’t seen removelungs kill anyone, and I didn’t hear any other gun shots (or axes, etc.). Therefore, it was extremely likely that removelungs was not defending himself against an active threat. He shot around 3 bullets which is usually not enough to defend yourself with. Additionally, I did not see any death messages. Moreover, I knew that removelungs has a large history of shooting & mudering people (as seen on his criminal record), which made me even more cautious and contributed to my determination that I had probable cause. Removelungs is a well-known criminal within the Ridgeway community. Due to this large collection of facts, I determined that I had probable cause to arrest removelungs for brandishing his firearm. I knew that the shots were bait for me to come outside, so I waited inside PPD where I could see see through the side window and maintain a view of removelungs (primarily so that I wouldn’t get shot). Around 1-2 minutes later, removelungs starts reloading his gun which is what 00:00-00:04 of Exhibit A shows. I felt as though this was the correct time to go outside and conduct the arrest through the element of surprise. I walk outside, handcuff removelungs and take him into the booking room of PPD (which is what 00:08-00:18 of Exhibit A shows). I then arrest removelungs for the earlier brandishing (not the brandishing depicted in the video). Additionally, I certify that the arrest report depicted below is a true and accurate representation of the arrest report I created pertaining to the matter above.
