STATE OF RIDGEWAY COUNTY OF RIDGEWAY THE PEOPLE OF RIDGEWAY COUNTY Plaintiff vs. TFS2004 Defendant Case No. CR-123455-123 CRIMINAL INFORMATION Come forth the people of Ridgeway County to seek justice and preserve the dignity of the county and therein charge the defendant; COUNT ONE - 7 R.C.C. § 20 - POSSESSION OF A STOLEN VEHICLE OFFENSE TYPE: FELONY MAX SENTENCE: 15 MINUTES At the time stamp 0:06 on Exhibit A, we can clearly see the defendant getting into the vehicle of a peace officer and driving away with that very vehicle, showing that he was in possession of said vehicle. COUNT TWO - 2 R.C.C. § 07 - OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE OFFENSE TYPE: FELONY MAX SENTENCE: 15 MINUTES At the timestamp 0:06 on Exhibit A, we see the defendant stealing the vehicle as the peace officer was responding to a situation and was in the middle of peace officer duties therefore obstructing justice. COUNT THREE - 7 R.C.C. § 23 - OBSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC OFFENSE TYPE: MISDEMEANOR MAX SENTENCE: 10 MINUTES At the timestamp 0:00 once again on Exhibit A, we can see the defendant standing on the hood of a police vehicle despite the peace officer who was operating the vehicle telling the defendant to get off. STATEMENT OF PROBABLE CAUSE On the 29th of June 2021, the defendant, Mr. tfs2004 committed three (3) unfortunate crimes. The defendant stood on the top of a police vehicle, and therefore obstructed traffic, and did this while the peace officer was in the midst of their duties. Further, the defendant stole the vehicle of the peace officer as they attempted to get back into their vehicle. The defendant continued driving despite the peace officer standing on the hood, which is a clear indicator to stop the vehicle.
