ORDER ACCEPTING PETITION FOR FUGITIVE STATUS
This criminal matter having been assigned to me, and after a summons having been served, the
defendant continuing to fail to appear for arraignment, the State has filed a petition for fugitive status
which this order addresses:
I. PETITION FOR FUGITIVE STATUS — ACCEPTED
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Petition for Fugitive Status filed by the State through the
Department of Justice on July 2, 2026 is ACCEPTED.
II. ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE RE: FAILURE TO APPEAR
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this Court recognises the requirements of the Crime and
Criminal Procedure Act 2026 for fugitive petitions and thus orders the defendant to appear within 48
hours of the issuance of this order or face being declared fugitive from justice.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the defendant be aware of the penalties to such a
declaration, including;

(i) EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS.—No fugitive of justice shall be permitted to
hold public office or employment in the State Government, county governments,
municipal governments, or any subordinate agencies or departments thereof.
(ii) MILITARY SERVICE CONDITIONS.—No fugitive from justice shall be
permitted to serve in the Ridgeway National Guard, and shall be dishonorably
discharged from uniformed service.
(iii) COMMERCE CONDITIONS.—No fugitive from justice shall be permitted to
register a business or commerce within this State, nor shall any fugitive from justice be
permitted to serve as an officer of any corporation under the laws of the State.
(iv) FIREARM CONDITIONS.—No fugitive from justice shall be permitted to own,
carry, possess, or operate any deadly weapon, firearm, or object which may cause
serious bodily injury.
(v) LAW ENFORCEMENT CONDITIONS.—No fugitive from justice shall be
permitted to serve as a law enforcement officer of the State, nor to engage in any law
enforcement training program administered under an agency or department of the State,
or of a county or municipality thereof.
(vi) LEGAL PRACTICE CONDITIONS.—No fugitive from justice shall be
admitted to the Ridgeway State Bar. A fugitive from justice admitted to the practice of law
shall be summarily suspended from the practice of law for the duration of their fugitive
status.

(vii) ARREST CONDITIONS.—A declaration of fugitive status shall serve as a
valid arrest warrant for the duration of the fugitive status.
III. GENERAL
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this Order reflects no view on the merits of any charge. All
underlying charges in the Criminal Information remain pending in their entirety.
