MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME
Defendant, by and through the Office of the Solicitor General, pursuant to Rid. R.
Civ. P. 6(b), respectfully moves the court to enlarge the time to file a responsive pleading
to the complaint up to and including August 9, 2025, and states as follows in support:
1. This matter was filed on July 29, 2025. Defendant was summoned on July
31, 2025. Accordingly, a responsive pleading is due on August 7, 2025. Defendant requests
an extension of that deadline up to and including August 9, 2025.
2. The government has had numerous significant filing deadlines in other
matters. See Alexblubear v. Department of State, RSC-CV-9146 (Rid. Super. Ct. 2025);
RichardM v. Dark_Foxx12, RSC-CV-5255 (Rid. Super. Ct. 2025); JamesGardai v. Palmer
Police Department, RSC-CV-0417 (Rid. Super. Ct. 2025); 0xSyns v. ShadowCulture, RSC-
CV-8149 (Rid. Super. Ct. 2025); 0xSyns v. xDinoManx, RSC-CV-3775 (Rid. Super. Ct.
2025); TopFloorGeek69 v. TacticalDankPatriot, RSC-CV-5195 (Rid. Super. Ct. 2025).
Undersigned counsel also has scheduled sporting events, medical appointments, and must
otherwise prepare for the beginning of the school year in just under a week. Given these

circumstances, undersigned counsel requires additional time to review the complaint and
confer with the agency to prepare a response.
3. To be sure, the government has taken steps to ensure that other matters are
handled in a timely manner, including the employment of two additional attorneys.
4. This is the first request for extension by the defendant in this action. No other
court deadlines will be impacted by this extension request other than the existing deadline
to respond to the complaint.
5. A proposed order is attached.
